Mid Atlantic Yacht Sales is the enthusiastic venture of Jim Houser. He is a lifelong boater and sailor and is passionate about the boating lifestyle. Jim sailed E Scows and MC Scows for 40 years on inland lakes in Atlanta and Charlotte. He also has extensive experience in sailboat race management and has been active in Charleston Race Week for 15 years.
His love of boating led him to create a sales company where people who love boats can buy and sell and truly connect with others in an atmosphere of authenticity. Specifically, Mid Atlantic Yacht Sales specializes in traditional “down east” power boats.
Jim’s extensive personal knowledge of this genre of yachts is deepened by a close relationship that he has enjoyed with several of the builders of the marques that he specializes in. He has gained an even deeper knowledge by personally visiting a number of factories including: Boston Boat Works, Boston, and MJM Yachts in Washington, NC. Future visits include Hinckley Yachts, CH Yachts at Shelter Island, NY, Sabre Yachts in Raymond, ME.
